tranny filter change, fluid amount?
Hey, does anyone know how much tranny fluid goes into a 99 f450 with an auto tranny with a fluid and filter change. It is a 20 bolt pan. Also, what type of fluid is recommended? thx

To answer your question you'll need up to 9 quarts. Use MERCON V fluid.
Why would you only want to change what's in the pan? At best you will change half of the fluid. Why not change ALL the fluid? Try this: Transmission Fluid Change.
Or the next best is to also drain the torque converter.
