89 Octane Program?
I am looking at the 3 stage Diablo Delta chip, and it mentions an 87 octane program that is available( www.motorhaven.com), Do they make an 89 octane program? How do you install the chip? Let me know fellas!

Yes, its available. It tunes the transmission only (you can't increase timing with 87 octane without engine ping).
Yes, we can make an 89 octane program but you'll get half as much performance as you will with a premium fuel tune.

Gas additives will make no difference. Octane booster that says it raises octane 2 points raises it point 2 (.2), not 2 points (2.0).
No special tools are required other than a 10 mm socket to unbolt the computer.

89 Octane Program?
You can't expect miracles from 89 octane. That's why the chips require premium unless the person requests otherwise. The reason why numbers vary is because Ford has literally thousands of ECU codes and sometimes hundreds just for a specific model. Different ECU codes perform differently from the factory so different Diablo and Superchip programs are going to perform differently. Chips are amoung the best for the buck "bolt-on" additions that the average Joe can install without an intimate knowledge of engines. I never stated the cost, thats in the online store.
