Yes, maybe somebody put Loc-tite of some kind there. Im following the advises from FTE amigos. The space is very limited there, I tried to get the combo there with an impact but I couldnt, really I was very tired and disapointed, and with a big red mark in my arm because of the shroud, so maybe tomorrow.

Thank you to every body.

I guess you could always pull the accessory bracket and move it off to the side to try to get the impact at it. I've never had a problem removing that plug other than having to make my own tool to get it out.

My water pump plug needed a square socket. A 1/4" drive was too small and a 3/8" drive was too big to fit it, so I took a cheap 3/8" drive extension and ground it down on the bench grinder until it fit the plug. If yours isn't a square plug, you won't have to worry about that.

I cut the tip off of an old bbq scewer

Put it in a 12 pt socket 3/8 drive

This is what it measures, if you need to grind down and extension
I hope you have the square socket in you plug.
I also used the Travis method, but was lucky to find the scewer that fit perfictly.

My water pump has an 8mm allen head plug. The other plug, from what I've read, is a 5/16" square plug. A link below that may help.

I just replaced my waterpump and added a coolant filter. The plug in the new waterpump was no doubt put in with some type of loctite or sealant. Once I got some torque on it it broke free and no problem. Luckily I did it out of the truck. So I know heat would help you for sure, but hard to do with the limite space.

Thanks to all, I understood every answer, but the plug in my WP is different and needs one socket like this, I can put a 7/16 open wrench there but I cant torque it for the limited space :

I did what Travis said and the ground down extension was a angled cut. Ground it down until the square end fit in there and then pounded it in for a tight fit. The move it was pounded in the tighter it fit so it would not strip out.

Oh, sorry, missed that post. Mine was female.

Dont worry, thanks again.
I tried to rep all of you but DAMN! rep police. I only could to rep 2

Im having putting the miracle (ATF+acetona) penetrate every 8 hs (like a medicine) there, and Im going to work tomorrow with it, the problem is that the plug is begining to strip (spl?), and if I cant, Im going to install the coolant filter through the heater hoses, similar to William (Talyn). Im also do the AC mod at the same time.

BTW Glenn where did ended connected your vaccum line? under the dash in the white line?

You are right and agree with that. IIRC Glenn couldnt pull one in his block engine, IDK.
