Before buying injectors, if it was me I would pull the valve cover back off and check the connections and probably put the original gasket/plug and harness back on to see if #1 and #3 still show an open. Won't cost anything except labor and it may just be a bad cheap part. Its the simple process of elimination at this point but hopefully you can do it without spending money on unneeded parts. You said it was running bad before the work so is it running the same now or worse? If it is running the same, then maybe the injectors are bad. Pulling the valve covers and doing some more testing should lead you in the right direction.
Regarding Cleatus, he really knows his stuff but can come off a little abrasive sometimes so don't take it personally.
Also regarding scanners, I have read several times where people say that you can't use a normal OBD scanner on these trucks. That is not entirely true. My Actron scanner I bought from the local auto parts store would read the P codes just fine along with clearing them. It does not however read the B, C and U codes that other scanners like AutoEnginuity does which is why I bought it.
LOL....i needed that laugh. Hope u did too. I think U did like i do sometimes. Post something and then go back and add more info . I do not think All them other words were not there when i first read it or I just overlooked them. I am still laughing 20 mins later.
we all have our areas of expertise...................how many nuclear devices have you assembled? Have a nice day.
None. I never claimed to know anything about them but if for some reason my buddy's neighbor had some kind of reactor that needed a repair and I offered to look at it for him, I certainly wouldn't call him a "customer". That would imply that I made my living smashing atoms.
I don't do plumbing, cabinetry, IT support, or cooking shows either.
But to defend MY statement earlier, you never said anything about the truck running bad in your initial post....just that you were going to replace some glow plugs that [may have been] bad. Faulty glow plugs won't make the truck run badly.

Thank you for the compliment, but I wouldn't say that I'm "a little abrasive". That would imply that I'm somewhere in the range of 120-180 grit. I like to think that I'm a chunk of shale being scraped down the side of a car.

Awesome comment, your the best, but i think you are a little more than 180 grit.
