Went to town, 30 miles truck running fine then it stalled at light. Waited a few secs and it started , then I drove home.
Two hrs later started drove 20 miles then back home, seems to run fine.
The next morning went out to start truck, started, barely and running REAL rough, like missing bad on 1 or 2 cyl. Limped it up to shop, stalled several times.
Now no start at all.
Hooked up my AE and no codes.
Did a injector Buzz test and got several codes, P0276, P1276, P1278, P1296
Something wacky with #6 & 8.
Pulled valve cover to check injector plugs, did a continuity check on injector pins on gasket and they were good, The glow plug pin is a bit burnt.
Checked plug to IDM, seems good and tight.
Cleaned up all the plugs and re-connected and did another buzz test and same codes came up.
Check the Under valve cover harness and valve cover pins and also the outer harness for melting. If you have a bad glow plug connection it can effect the injectors. It can also cause the idm to shut down on that bank to protect itself. I would bet the connections on 6 & 8 are burned.
Thanks, The plug for #6 & 8 does have a burnt glow plug pin on the harness side of the gasket. I will get a new gasket and and harness pig tail and see if that fixes things up.
