Broke 1 of the clips that secure the connector to the coil so thought I would check with members for assistance locating a replacement part. Upgraded 65 F100 with the 68 302 to Dura spark ll ignition and failed to note the source of the 'horse shoe' type Ford connector that came with the coil. Likely the Duraspark and the coil/connector are separate purchases and one does not necessarily have anything to do with the other. I can only make out a possible letter, and a few numbers, it's a Ford part and appears the 1st letter is a D then followed by a 7 and then a series of letters/numbers ? that have rubbed off then followed by a 14489-HA.
D7 etc ? 14489-HA.
Called a few Ford Dealerships and they were no help. The item looks like the pic posted but apparently there were a number of years the 'horse shoe' connector was used but not all fit the same application. Any help identifying the Part Number, or replacement would be appreciated!!
Autozone has them. Try part number 252. You can go down to the store and see if it fits(I don't know if they stock them or not).
Dave, thank you for the input, checked Autozone online catalog and could not find a listing for 'coil connector'. Found only 1 local auto part store that supposedly has them in stock $28, and the others would have to order one. Checked online and found rockauto list 3 possible replacements where one of them on the list has a pn of #252 but it appears different than the one I have.
Think I will check out the local store that has them for comparison, don't intend paying $28 when other sources are selling same/similar item for less than $5.
I just went to Autozone's site, plugged in 252 in the search box, and clicked on "ignition coil connector". They want $5.29 for it. I did have a 84 f150 with a 351w in as the vehicle, don't know if that matters or not.

The coil connector for the 302 and 351 should be the same. Also went to Autozone site and found the item under ignition connector and it came up as 'Well's Vehicle Electronics Pigtail', part #252. I will deny if asked, took the laptop to the truck and compared the connectors and they look identical. Alternator bearing is beginning to sound like a greased pig so I order the 65amp, that along with the connector, put me just over the $50 limit to get 15 % discount which bout pays for the cost for the core, with the closest Autozone being 70 miles round trip figure what the heck might as well get the home delivery. Dave, appreciate the help!!
