New to the diesel world. Just purchased a 1991 7.3 idi crewcab. Need new tires. I would just like to use like 99-03 or 04-07 superduty tires and rims. But Probably wont work. I just want some decent tires and rims. Like i said. New to the diesel world.
The Superduty are metric bolt pattern and won't fit without adapters. The 96-97 factory aluminum rims are made by Alcoa I think. Other than that it's steel or aftermarket. GM and Dodge hub hole is to small.

https://www.google.com/search?q=whee...=hp&channel=np You'll have to figure your back spacing for the SD wheels and the minium thickness adapter you can use I think, is 2". Which may be perfect with the SD wheels.
Your best bet would be to find a set of wheels meant to bolt to our trucks. Anything meant to fit up to 1996 (1997 HD) F250s/F350s will bolt up no problem.
The factory Alcoas offered in the later years of the OBS (92-96/97) bodystyle are a particularly attractive upgrade. I have a set on my 91 and love 'em. Took me a while to find a set, but the wait was worth it, IMO.
Here are some pics. Hopefully they're the right links since I can't actually access photobucket from this computer:
