I am trying to repair my blown head gasket. I have removed everything except the a c compressor. Does that need to be removed as well? I removed all 10 bolts and distributor. It won't budge. Any suggestions? It's a ford 360 with eel rock performance intake.
Don't disconnect the AC lines if the AC works or the AC is charged.
I don't have AC but I recall the compressor can be unbolted from its bracket and swung out of the way. Wire it to the inner fender so it doesn't fall off.
Removing the intake.. slowly pry it off from its leading and trailing edge where (typically) the cork gaskets are. I'm thinking it's just adhered very well.
Make sure you keep track of exactly which position all 16 rockers and pushrods came from. The rockers, pushrods, and lifters all create a wear pattern together.

Yes I kept everything in order and neat. Does the a c compressor need to come out?

2 x Hio Silver. I don't have a/c either and I also feel you can unbolt it and swing it out of your way. Suspend it with an old metal coat hanger or something like that so as not to put too much weight on the hoses. It's heavy so be ready with something to suspend it with.
