lifters
Hi, what year is your truck????
If it is fuel injected the process is harder than with a carb, because you have to remove the upper intake manifold to remove the valve cover. There is more, but I need to know if it is injected or not. It is not a hard process but there are several things you have to remove.Bob / stractor
Remove your fuel lines, pcv, electric lines, and anything else that goes over your motor.
Take off ac belts and if your have AC unbolt the compressor and remove the top half of the mounting bracket.
you can pull your compressor forwards out of the way.
unbolt your valve cover and remove, lossen your rockers to where you can remove the pushrods.
Take off the distributor cap and remove your plugs.
Unbolt the lifter panel on the side of the motor.
You'll need a lifter remover or a knife and some patience to fish the lifters out. Some will mushroom and be nearly impossible to get out.
Slide in your new lifters and put the pushrods back in. Torque your rocker arms to 19ftlbs or what your manual recommends.
reassemble opposite of removal.
It will take a hour or 2 and is not real hard.
