I have a '12 with 21k miles and so far it's been great.

I don't miss the 05 6.0 psd one bit.

my 11 is doing great, build date 7/10 had it almost 3 years now. had some 4x4 issues had to take it in about 5 times for the same issue until they finally found out what it was. But other than that not a single issue, and i pull trailers all the time, not always super heavy but out of 40k miles ill bet little more than half is trailering, i had a car on my 23 foot flatbed last night pulls amazing. i think you will enjoy one if you get it.

Also a friend of mine just got a 12 lariet loaded CC short bed 4x4, for just a few K more than what i got my XLT for, i got mine for 40 and some change. think he got it for around 45k plus or minus, they are moving the 12's off the lots.

I have not had any problems with my truck yet and I love driving it. So my comments are about some of the features, or lack of them. The anemic 26 gallon fuel tank in the short bed has been discussed a lot here (a Titan 50 gallon tank is on the wish list). The rear suspension is very soft so there is considerable sag when I hitch my trailer (only 700 pound tongue weight) and normal road bumps while towing are an issue (shocks and air bags are on the wish list). The stock instrumentation display is a tad frugal. With the dollars we spend for a very good diesel engine, I am amazed that critical information are not displayed, though they are idiot lighted or alarmed. I am a little old school and I like to SEE oil pressure, EGT at the turbo, voltage, fuel pressure to the HPFP, etc. (ScanGaugeII addresses some of these, but getting info out of the company for specific 2012 data points .... blood out of a turnip). To reemphasize: I really like my truck, but I am going to make it better. Enjoy!!!

2012 F-350

Traded from 2002 F-350 with 257K miles loved the truck.
2012 6.7 is powerful and quick. 28k miles no issues. I do change the Fuel filters every 7.5k miles.
Working through list of normal upgrades, shocks, leveling front springs, bigger better tires, rear anti sway etc. All the items you see talked about here.
Small fuel tank and having to put DEF in truck are the only problematic items for me.
The quick acceleration and quietness of the 6.7 compared to the 7.3 are remarkable. Front suspension also performs better than the front leaf springs on the 2002. Turning radius is tighter as well.
Good luck with your decision.
