There is a some truth that there wouldn't be posts on these boards if there were never problems with the respective trucks. I had a '89 Suburban and it had over 350k miles on it when I traded it for a Dodge PU. The only problem that I had with the sub. was having the tranny rebuilt after about 150k miles, and then I may have caused at least some of the troubles by driving through the mountains and not taking it out of OD. The gas mileage was about 17 all of its life no matter what I was doing. The previous Ford 250 I had before that I had about 300k miles on it and no oil burning or problems, just needed a different vehicle, it ran just fine. The Dodge I traded the Sub. for, was a POS from the get go. It looked really great but I needed to haul a gas tanker around to keep it running when it wasn't in the stealership for some weird type of failure under warranty, and later more of the same no warranty. I never did anything out of the ordinary with it, mostlly just a DD. I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Sorry for the too long rant. I promise to maintain my loyalty from now on.
