Some of the town cars had 4.6 L in them also. I rebuilt one of them in my mothers Town car years ago. My sisters Town car (different year) had one also.

The 4.6L was the only engine they ever put in the Town Car, Crown Vic, and Gran Marquis from 1991-on. I believe they only got the 2V version though.

The 4.6 wouldn't hardly get the Crown Victoria Police Interceptors from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3 minutes.

How would it ever pull a 8,000 Excursion?

Maybe that's why the excursions didn't get em... They couldn't pull themselves up onto the transport trailer at the factory.

They are still parked out back the kentucky plant. They added hybrid battery banks to increase power, but the added weight ... to be continued..
