Hi, I have a 1975 F100 with a 460. Replaced the power steering box with a Redhead in December. The return line fitting at the box has been leaking and getting worse. Checked it out and there is no o-ring or seal washer, whatever it is called. I ordered the seals from NPD. The kit comes with two plastic, white seals...one smaller than the other. I have tried every combination to make these washers work. Do these washers fit in the thread or in the cylinder on the steering box? I have tried both, it still leaks. The hose that is leaking is the one with coils. Can someone tell me how these seals fit? Or other suggestions for fixing the leak. Thank you
I don't know about those seals but I had a similiar leak and I just put an o-ring on it. I put the smallest one I could get over the threads on the line and screwed it back in. It hasn't leaked since. Might be worth a try in your situation as well...
