power steering leak

power steering leak

need help, my truck has a power steering leak. Except its not from a hose, seems to be from the gear box onthe top where the steering colum attaches. is there a seal Icould replace fairly easy. I would hate to have to replace the gearbox, since it has almost no play in it. If there is a seal I could replace, do you need special tools, or can you accomplish with basic hand tools. Has anybody had this problem before. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The seal is known for going bad. Its not easy to do and involes removing the sector shaft. I ended up buying a new one for 135.00.

I replaced mine through the hole in the floor by disconnecting the ragjoint and sliding the column out of the way. I left the box in the truck.
