Question about intake...

I have removed the A/C on my truck (for many reasons) and I now have a lot of space in front of my radiator where the radiator for the A/C was and I could now mount an intercooler. Due to how my setup is, I think it'd be very difficult to make an intercooler and I am wondering if there is any way I can take advantage of that space to cool the air before the MASS Air meter instead??? I'm not sure what, if any, possibilities there are to not make too much work as if I were to install an intercooler.

Here's a pic of my setup so you can get a better idea...

A cooler works most effectively on hot fluids; the heat transfer rate is directly related to the temperature difference between the hot fluid and the cooling fluid. The reason you want to cool the air AFTER the compressor is that the compressor increases the air temperature and you want to reduce that with a cooler. There is no point in trying to cool the air BEFORE it has been compressed; you can't cool ambient air with ambient air. You might be able to gain something by cooling the intake air with...an AC system, but you've removed that. Ford did something like that with some version of a Cobra engine.
