The extra weight and parasitic load of running another compressor would off set the benefit I think. Plus the engineering needed would be exstensive. They do make them for ricer's but they are far too small to use on a PSD. There are air to water intercoolers as well that are more effective and usually cut down on tubing lenght (less lag) but they are also pricey.
Here in south Florida we value our AC. Christmas here was in the 80's, you can imagine what the summers are like.
"Aftercoolers" are used on many supercharged engines. Compressed air from the turbo is blown through a watercooled intercooler. The water is pumped from a surge tank into a small radiator, and then through the intercooler. Ice can be added to the surge tank for improved cooling.
Diesels run a significant amount of air though the turbo and associated plumbing, and once compressed by the turbo the air becomes even hotter. You would need a very large AC evaporator to keep up, along with a larger compressor and condensor.
Sombody needs to try it. I've thought of this too. Neal, just think of all that cold air pumping out of the vents in your cab being pumped right into your intake. It would have to have do something for power.

Ford already has this concept. First toyed with on the '93 mustang and then on the 2004 F150 lightning. Its called a supercooler. Using the trucks A/C to provide a 45 second burst of HP up to 500/550.
You see that Talyn?! Maybe you should work for Ford! Maybe if we all knock our heads together once and a while we can get some of the things we just think about to work for us. Neal, FOLLOW UP next time you never know.
Thanks for the link west tn It seems ford has already tried it but I guess it is good for short term competition. Similiar to NOS cooling but regenerative and eco friendly. Very interesting stuff. Next mod possibly...??? Post up someone
I can't even think of how to redirect the air.
I got the ideas, and not always the way, Then other times i have the idea and the way and not the material and the tools.
Can't wait till i get that stick welder down here. "storing it for the neighbor" really means. Thanks for the welder partner. =)
