49 Ford Panel

I happen to run across this add for a 49 panel and was a little surprised, I thought it would be in a lot worse shape for the price he is asking. Anyway if anyone is looking for a 1949 Ford Panel $750 here is the link.

Well for $750, it leaves you room for restoring.

Worth every cent I'd reckon, very restorable.

If that truck was up here at that price it would have been gone two minutes after he finished posting it. That is worth $750+ all day long. The doors themselves are with $400-500.

Rear doors, they're the third hardest to find panel part behind the driver's seat and the hardest of all, the passenger seat.

Do you have both seats in your panel? I know the passenger was an option.

For those that don't know the passenger seat back would fold down and then the whole seat would flip front for access to the rear. I had a pair I found in a junk yard that were in pretty bad shape but the metal frames were there. The one was worse than the other since the window was broken out and subjected to rain and snow. I sold them to an FTE member years ago.

I do have both seats. Both in very good condition. A few years ago I had passenger in my shop in my parts stash. When we moved we moved to the new shop my wife told my sons to chuck into the dumpster. I told her it was worth some good money. She laughed at me. Two days later I sold.it for $125.

The rear bumper alone has got to be worth close to the buy in.

It's a 51 or 52 not a 49.

Don't forget the Panel fuel tank. Also not an easy part to find. Bob, I bet the doors are worth more than $500.

This Panel looks to be in decent restorable shape.

If it wasn't 600 + miles I'd go get it.

600 miles? Come Gary, grab you buddy from WI and head out. It's only a two day trip.

You know you want it.

Macon is about a 2 hour drive for me and I'm on call all of this week and weekend, but if someone is really interested and I can help just give me shout. I will see what I can do.
