i read some post on dvd radios and how to install them.

here's mine: (2) pieces of 1/8" board screwed to the side of the radio to take up the gap.

remove the stock face plate. velcro, done.

 

Very nice. You can buy aftermarket versions, but they look cheap. Yours looks good.

 

thanks. it's actually one of the easiest installs i've ever done. i thought it was gonna a pain but it's really simple. i don't know if it would work on radios with *****, or of different depths.

the stock radios face plate just unscrewed, that helped alot

 

Pretty slick, I must say. Kind of a pain to have to remove the face plate & put it back again when done, but beats the alternative of losing the head unit altogether, if one has to leave the vehicle unattended in dodgy areas.
