Radio Install. Tips?

Hey guys well i'm putting in a newer pioneer radio in the truck, thought it was time for an upgrade. well to get back on subject i had to rig the plate the radio sits in and i was wondering if any of yall had done this or had any tips for me. thanks

Do a search for DIN radio mount and you should find some threads. There have been a ton of posts on it.

One thing to be careful with is cutting the hole in the original radio bracket, there is not much room for error.

Just my two cents...,

If it was me, I'd also get a spare bracket out of the wrecking yard, and bezel if possible.

You never know if you want to go back stock or not, and would be nice to have the option later if you choose.

I put in a Pioneer unit in my truck this week. The bezel was already cut perfect. I did have to cut the bracket all the way out on the drivers side and had a little left of it on the passenger. I made sure that the HV/AC controls where secure.I was able to use the Pioneer bracket, just bent the tabs where I could.

did you have any power troubles. we installed it and can't get it to turn on
