Okay no problem, so then it is a F250 2wd Ranger then or maybe not even a Ranger at this point just has the body emblems. Good information for sure and thanks for sharing that.
Post the MODEL (TYPE/GVW) & BODY codes stamped on the Warranty Plate, or post all the codes stamped thereon.
NumberDummy: Check out the photos album for my 1973 Ford F250 you will see the tag I found. As for anything else let me know where to look because this is all I found.
NumberDummy: I just seen your location is only 30 mins from me. I'm located in Seal Beach, CA. Nice to know that your local!!
Hey also wanted to share with you that the Warranty tag inside glove box is the same as I previously posted in the beginning of this thread that you decoded for me. Owner said he could not locate frame VIN but if I wanted tomorrow I could come down and look for it. They say they owned the truck for 22 years and they bought it as is so if anything were changed it was PO before them. Who knows right?!
Well got the 4x4 up and running. Had a couple of leaking gaskets, and a cracked exhaust manifold. Thanks to another FTE member who hooked me up with another manifold it is working great. The Oregon Chapter's GTG was this weekend and I was determined to go. I replaced all three block freeze plugs and then replaced all the cooling hoses. Took off at 9:15am yesterday and arrived safely in Condon, OR. No overheats some small oil leaks that will be addresses but I'm pretty happy. I did the fuel mileage and figured I was getting 15.4MPG. Today I looked at the truck and noticed I still had the hubs locked, but T-case in 2wd. The return was uneventful just like the trip up.
My list for fix up is leaks and then find out what happened to the fuel gage. I grounded the sending unit wire and the gage deflected. It's most likely a bad sender, or if I'm lucky a sunk float.
