Picked up another 78' today
I bought a second short wheel base, two wheel drive today. Cab and bed are in better shape then my current truck. No motor, tranny, or rear end in this one. Tear down will begin next weekend and my build will start soon after that. Plans are a ground up restoration using the best of the two trucks and some new parts. Frame and core support will be powder coated, inner fenderwells will be rhino lined. Body will be silver and interior will be red. Engine will be a 331 cu.in. small block backed by a C-4. 4 wheel disc brakes and a lowered stance will round things out. I am still deciding on wheels, but for the most part the general look of the truck has been decided. I hope to be ready to take it to Turkey Rod Run this year... but we will see.
