New Toy
I finally picked up my new project. Six years my granpa passed away and left me his pride and joy, a 1974 Ford F250 SuperCab 2wd. He purchased the truck along with a fifth wheel from the orig owner. The owner bought the truck and fifth wheel new in 1974 and would only sell them together. So in 1984 (the year I was born) grandpa took ownership. My grandparents were members of The National Campers And Hikers Assocation. The truck has been to all the Continental States, most more than once and most of the provences of Canada. It has had 6 different engines now with a 390. My grandpa worked as a mechanic most of his life so he did the swaps himself along with all regular maitinance. It has sat for the past 6 years at my grandmas due to me being in the military and has got pretty rough. As of right now I am looking for a new cab because the upper door frame is rotted out along with the top of the windsheild frame. The bed floor is bad due to the fifth wheel reciever. but the engine runs strong. The seats are spotless along with all the interior trim. All in all I have my work cut out for me. I am redoing all of the wireing harness due to an electrical fire and am working on getting it running. I plan on geting all the body panels and cab i need this winter and putting it together next summer.
