I'd be suspicious why its all apart and for sale? Is it one engine that's disassembled, plus parts from others? Are the valves, guides, and springs included? Sounds like a cracked block was found and rebuild abandoned. As far as selling it off as parts, not a lot of demand except if the block is good. If it's a complete engine and not all rusty and cracked, you could have it rebuilt and either use it or sell it, but don't expect to get rich. Lucky to break even. The price is a little high except that the trannies and Offie manifold probably bring it up to just about his price.
If you are wanting to build the motor and need all of those misc parts, then go for it. They don't have a lot of value otherwise. Depends on condition of course, but I don't think that price is too far out of line. Make sure to look it over closely...
A deciding factor in my opinion would be those transmissions. Get some more info about them. The light duty 3-speeds are in pretty big demand here nowadays, and they're not exactly falling off trees.
