Seriously though, Russ, lets say you have a blowout and wreck. (Im not saying you will because you have C rated tires, Im just saying if you did.)
You call your insurance to make a claim, they send out an adjuster, and he looks at it. He looks at the tires, and if he is thorough he could say that since they are Cs they legally dont have to cover it, because the blowout was caused by overloaded tires. (This is why tires chain stores will not do things like mount Cs if the door says Ds or even mount oversize tires, its a liability.)
Does that not sound plausible?

Nope its Not Plausible because i only carry Liability so if i cause my own damage i dont have anyone to call. i gotta pay to fix it because i'm not paying those legal mobsters any more then i have to.
btw i've never had a blow out, never even known anyone thats had a blow out. a flat yes blow out no. i think it has more to do with interstate driving(long periods of time on the road) in high temps? not so much an issue up here.
