Stop light wiring
First time that I have attempted this, and I read through some info on this site that gave me a good idea...but I just wanted to get a final check. I am running new wiring to the rear of my 1952 F1. My questions: 1) You run your brown parking light wires straight back? 2) You run your Stop Switch Power into the switch on the back of the master cylinder and come out of the switch tying into the turn signal lines?

Yes, power goes to one side of the stop switch. Yes, the other stop switch wire goes to the turn signal switch (red wire on my T/S switch).

The brown taillight wire does run back and branch out to both taillights. The power for the brake/turn signals first goes through your brake light switch and then into your turn signal switch. Inside the turn signal switch the power is either allowed to flow through the contacts of the switch into the brake lights or breaks the power to route the pulsating power from the flasher to go to one of the lights. When you activate the turn signal switch it breaks the circuit to the side you want to flash but allows the other side to continue to allow constant power to the opposite brake light.

Thanks bob I needed this info too! What gage wire should I run to the back?

I personally wouldn't go with thinner than 14 ga. You could probably go with 16 ga. for the lights but I.like heavier wire. I have the guage specified in the shop manual scanned and have posted them before for the '48-52s. I on my phone right now and try to repost later when I can get to computer.

Those are interesting diagrams. My T/S switch is wired:
Black to Flasher "L"
Blue to Flasher "P"
Green to Right Front
Yellow to Left Front
Red to Stop Light Switch
Brown to Right Rear
Orange to Left Rear
Obviously not a Signal Stat...
