Hey guys, ive got a question. Some of ya'll know that I put a Sterling 10.25 in my 77' F-350. Well, I've come across a problem. The rear driveshaft is too long by about 1/4 of an inch or so, cant remember right now cause I haven't been north and measured it in a few months... Long story. I tried pushing the driveshaft forward towards the carrier bearing, but it puts too much stress on that.
Here's my question. What do you think the weight of everythin on the back weighs? Box, 2 Full Fuel tanks and about 150-200lbs of bumper. My guess would be between 720lb-815lb after doing the math.
Gas is 6.073lbs Per US Gallon, 38gal.
The box is between 350lb-375lb
and the bumper's gota be around 150-200.
Right now the box and fuel tanks are off the truck. I have to measure the driveshaft and other leangths while the truck is under regular weight, which means under the weight of 2 full fuel tanks, the box and the rear bumper. I did the math to give myself an idea and also to give everyone else a ballpark... I think... idk
