caliper piston, large or small
what are the advantages of using a 2 & 15/16" caliper over a 2 &1/16" piston caliper. i recently did a disc brake upgrade on my old 72 bronco and the calipers i got with the spindles and backing plates were 3" piston calipers, so when i exchanged them for rebuilts thats what i bought, 3". i also upgraded to a 79 F250 MC. seem to work great but i did notice that there were two other sizes offered in piston size for the 73 chevy k20 4X4, both smaller. so with the proper MC are you going to see a benefit with larger piston calipers.
