shifted leaf spring

alright, so I've been hearing a noise under quick compression such as going over a speed bump, and you can easily tell it's coming from the left rear suspension... me and a buddy looked around, and noticed that the bottom leaf is cocked about an inch out on the back end, and an inch in on the front end.... I'm curious to why this could have happened... loose u-bolt? stretched u-bolt? when I got my truck there wasn't any signs of much towing done. I looked around online, and on the earlier superduty's 2000's some people were talking about there leaf's breaking, I don't think that mine is broken, but I'm not taking it apart just yet, cause soon I'm getting the 350 blocks, and new u-bolts... so I'm going to wait until then to tinker with it... but it's def not right... any ideas? or concerns I should be immediatly worried about? thanks.

I have had that happen on previous trucks...I would just took a sledge hammer and knock it back in..occasionally I would have to repeat it.

Ditto on the sledgehammer trick

I've had to do this several times thru the years on various trucks too.

The bottom leaf wouldn't cause any noise.

These trucks have rigid suspension & make more noise than a lighter truck.

Check the U Bolt torque.
