Post fan?

I have a 1995 F-150 Super Cab and it makes a very annoying noise. While driving down the road, it makes a whining sound, and at first i believed it was coming from the alternator, but i replaced the alternator, i also know it is not the drive train. Could it be the fan. Please Help!

Hello johntucker05 and Welcome to FTE!

I doubt it is the fan. If it was the fan you should be able to make the noise by revving the engine in neutral and hearing it.

Sounds to me like you have wheel bearing starting to go or worse a rear end that has run out of oil. Does it do it only at your normal cruising speed?

it only makes the noise once I start go faster than 30 mph. i don't think it is a wheel barring because it doesn't make the noise 100% of the time. Sometimes, i can turn the A/C off and it won't make the noise, and sometimes it never stops.

Arrow fan?

It did not make the noise as bad as it did yesterday. It has been coming and going all day.

What do i have to do if the rear end has run out of oil? How much will it cost to get fixed, or can I fix it?

If the rear end ran out of oil you probably have oil stains either around the rear differential or on your rear tires.

Since it comes and goes I doubt that it is the rear end.

What is the ambient temp while all of this is going on? It could be the clutch fan engaging and the noise your hearing is the fan.
