94 E350 5.8 Help!
Ok heres my problem's ....
CEL comes on after maybe 5 minutes & stays on . I pulled some codes but im not sure what could cause these issues ..........
K.O.E.O. test
637-TOT sensor is/was high or open
332-EGR did not open/respond during test
Then when i do the K.O.E.R. test i get these ...
636 -TOT sensor out of range
311 -Air system not working
213 -Ignition SPOUT or SAW circuit open or shorted
332 -EGR did not open/respond during test
I got the 213 code after i changed the distributor . Not understanding !
Will a bad O2 sensor cause any of these ???
ABS light comes on too but im not worried about that one right now .
Please help !
Any help i can get is greatly appreciated .

Glad we could help!
Can't remember all the issues I've had over the years with spark plug wires. Cross wired, failing due age or poor quality etc etc. Not sure COP's are perfect but they're sure much less problematic---for me anyway.
Are you showing any other codes now or were those fixed by the wiring correction?

Way, way back... Early 1980's, actually. We got a beautiful 1974 Gran Torino with 25k miles on it from an elderly lady for $400 because the engine ran poorly and she was unwilling to invest a dime into the diagnosis. Turned out only to be - yep - a coulpe crossed plug wires. Literally it cost nothing to repair to 100% perfect running condition. We drove it is a family car for shoot, like 15 years, until it literally just wore out. Sorry, the thread just reminded me.
Second good story, this one involves my first Econoline. My uncle sold me their previous family van, a 79 E150, 302 with about 125k on it for $600. It ran great, but the battery kept dying. After replacing it, the brand new battery also quickly ran down so he sold it to me. Yep, you guessed it. No alternator belt. Simple, cheap, complete fix. Sometimes, it really is that easy. Bright orange, yellow accents, cool four window side. (The fender was replaced later after some fool hit me). Here's the only picture I can find of him, scanned from a photograph:

Great stories Warren---sometimes those good deals just find us huh?
My very first attempt at plug wires was at 17, '56 Ford 2 door, 292 CI Motor---what a beast! Wasn't the least bit knowledgeable about cars in general; "firing order--WTH is that.....and why do I need to know...can't be that important since I don't already know.............right?
Removed every greasy plug wire all at once, installed new by figuring out which one fit from the plug to the distributor----went just fine, looked great too. Motor ran a bit rough until a bystander friend mentioned maybe I had the wires mixed up? Hmmmm
Literally swapped two random wires and it smoothed out a bit----swapped out two more and just like magic it was purring once again. I musta been a genius and not yet aware of it---right?
I've learned just a bit more since then...............
