I posted here bout my truck pulsating when im coming to a stop, alot of you all said replace the rotors to which i did and new brakes, shocks. Today I went to get my truck all four wheel alignment done to my truck.. something is not right..
I got my driver tire facing straight, look at the left.. I went back to the alignment shop showed them that, they put it back up there, they called me over and pointed out the machine they use say, it is aligned.. So what is the problem you figure?
To update all ive done to the truck in regards to front end..
rack and pinion
upper control arm
upper lower ball joints
stabilizer inks
rotors (front)
brakes
shocks
when i straighten my left wheel, the right does not look right..
It's not really obvious in the photo. Maybe it's just the effect of perspective...
You can get a rough idea if the toe-in is massively out of tolerance by chalking the tread of both tire's circumference, scribing a line in the chalk, and then measuring between the lines at the front of the tire, and then at the rear of the tire. The difference between the measurements is the toe-in or toe-out.
^+1 on doing the rough tow check.
What did the alignment print out show the tow numbers to be????
Did you do the rack replacement After the alignment check???? I think I see what you mean, kinda looks like the passenger side front wheel is towed out & if it is, the alignment equipt if working, should have been able to quickly spot it.
Having done alignments at work, that looks way out of whack to me, like the r/f wheel is way to the right. Id take it back and ask them to check the alignment on the rack again. If they refuse threaten to go to the Better Business Bureau. Just my $0.02.
Also it is very easy to make the machine say the alignment is right when it is not, some less than reputeable shops are known to just "get it close" and manipulate the heads to make the machine read right on.
