I recently was making a left turn in the snow and the right wheel hit the curb. The Ex now needs an alignment as the steering wheel is slightly cockeyed.
I purchased a groupon for an oil change/alignment. When I went yesterday they said they couldn't soothe alignment because the right upper and lower ball joints were 1/8 inch off. Now I have had my mechanic look at the BJs before and he told me they were fine.
In your opinion is the shop correct or do I need to replace them. The said they rate them on a 3 point scale and mine were a 1.5 out of 3.
You are talking about 2 different things. Have another shop look at the B-joints. They will often do it free if they thing they can get a job out of it but by they same token they might make them seem worse than they are.
I'm confused. You hit the right rear on a curb and now the steering wheel is cockeyed? Did the shop that said your BJ's were bad say anything about your rear axle being knocked outta wack?
