I have a 99' coleman tent trailer about 3k in weight. My question is should I purchase D rated bias or C rated radials. I dont know much about trailer tires. I had C rated on there before after about 3k one started to seperate. I had them for about 5 years.
These tires are bias ply.... Trailer Tire . Personally I would avoid Carlisle, but still many have had good luck so I thinks its just a preference. I use Maxxis, as I do not have room to put LT's on so I use their ST Radial trailer tires. I have had good luck and they run about 100 bucks apiece at discount tire. Again, I think all of this tire stuff has a lot of preference, LT's will handle the speeds better than any of the other tires, if you can find them in that size.

I have maxxis on the trailer now, the tire that seperated was a maxxis with a C rating. I just think I would be better off with a D rated but I want it to be radial.
After 5yrs of sun, you really can't complain. A replacement of the of the same size and load rating would suffice. Personally, I would see if a larger dia tire in a C or D rating would fit. A larger dia tire will reduce bearing speed and soften the ride. Just me.
I have a 99 Startcraft that had C range tires on it. I just ordered new wheels and tires from etrailer and went with Ds. The tent trailers are close enough to the limits of C tires that I went with the Ds.

Those D's are bias correct. If so let me know how they turn out. I called a Camperland rv place in dothan today and he said he can get me an 8ply radial for 59.99 apiece so I may go that route. I need to get the brand from him. Also what is they dry weight of your trailer. Mine is 2680 dry and I know that I have aleast another 200lbs of crap in there before I put food or water in it. Plus another hundred if I take the genarator.
