hi y/all i am new at this want to say thank you for tips on trans plugs also does my 99 ranger 2.5 l manuel 5 speed have a rev. limiter in all 5 forward gears ? and what is the red line rpms also where do i find the number on my mazda trans. thanks

Hi, welcome to FTE!
Im fairly certain your truck has a rev limiter. It's controlled by the computer. I don't know the redline on the 2.5L, sorry.
If your trying to figure out what model tranny you have, this is what someone else has to say:
1988-current production Rangers with 4cyl engines both 2wd and 4x4 (including the 2.0 (carb), 2.3, 2.5 and (new) 2.3 DOHC will be a Mazda M5OD-R1. This is the only manual transmission factory installed behind four cylinder engines in Rangers after the beginning of the 1988 model year.
