My truck died off about a month ago, the last few symptoms where runing ruff and missing, then it never started again,I owend the Haynes and chilton books and tested everything,I also replaced the distributor with an included Ignition module, cap and rotor, coil and at last found a new computer for it, still is not cranking.
I have fuel,the rotor turns,good battery.
Why does this truck don't Start?
1987 Bronco 302 TFI-IV EEC-IV.

Did you test the fuel pressure at the rail with a gauge? Did you test the ignition system according to the Haynes procedure in Ch5 Sec7? Did you pull the codes?
hey whats up i got the same prob with the same truck the 87 bronco with the 302(5.0) i am have the same prob it will crank over but no spark so it wont start an i have replaced the coil - distributor- cap- rotor- ecu- ign mod- plugs - wires - an i still have nothing either i was told to check the ignition switch or to see if i or(we) got a bad ground or wire an i have but they are all fine so i dunno what to do any more but hey maybe we can do some thing together about this if you wanna call just give me email at deadlyduo1922(No Email Addresses In Posts!) an i will give you my # an you can call an we can see what each other has dont to gross what we got so far
also check out my forum i got in here its called (no spark)
I haven't got time to mess around with it by my next step is going to be reading carefully how to pull codes and go from there,steve83 was gentle and gave to us all we need to pull codes. since the EEC-IV monitors and gives comands to so many emission components we need the codes to go straight to the problem, on of those components is probably fried and the EEC-IV is saying sorry no spark.
Now I'm going back to my six and watch racing Bye !!
