Floor Dimmer Switch Location

Hey All,

I put new floor pans in my '78 F150 during restoration and failed to measure where the dimmer switch was located at before I tore out the old floor. Would someone be able to give me an estimated measurement down from the firewall seam to the center of the switch (button) and then also distance from the kickplate or cowl to the center of the switch. I want to mount it back on the floor but want to get it close to the original position. Thanks in advance!

Jon

It's dark here now, but if nobody answers over-night, I'll try and get that measurement for you in the morning.

Does anyone have measurements that are a little more accurate ? same thing happened here, they replaced floors but didnt mark switch location. i think some new carpet replacements have the hole already
cut (maybe - not sure) but if it is , i need to get the location pretty close.

Thanks

This is the best I can do. Hopefully they get you in the ballpark.

We were able to keep the factory holes for the switch when we replaced our pans. The parking brake is applied in all pictures.

In the last picture, that is the seat belt warning wiring running behind the dimmer switch to the connector.
