removing Eclipse radio from E-450 dash

Hi,

I have an RV on a Ford E-450 Super Duty chassis. I would like to remove the radio, but I cannot fully remove the dash--it won't clear the steering wheel. What is the best way to do that, and is it easier to remove the top of the dash rather than the front?

Thanks, Ray

Welcome to FTE

Have no idea, but I'd be surprised if you had to take out the dash. Get a
Chilton's or equivalent for similar trucks of your year. You can probably find something at the library.

Also, you could try asking in one of the sections devoted to your year of truck

On older Fords you just put a couple of metal pins down the sides after removing the trim. Don't know about today's trucks.

Good Luck,

hj

Thanks,

Unfortunately I do. I couldn't find a section devoted to the E-, but did find one devoted to the F-450. Wasn't sure if they were the same section. The pins don't work with this radio. The dash definitely needs to be removed, but I can't get it over the steering column.
