add aleaf for payload help ?

hey guys, this year I decided to tow my 26foot dutchmen to a few different areas this year rather then parked all summer.

I also want to carry my 700 grizzly in the truck bed. The truck is getting aged....I do have torsion bars but I'm wondering if adding a leaf will help in alleviating the weight in the box ?

It's a 99 F150 w/5.4l

Thanks

add a leaf will help to be maintain a level height. A good cheap alternative aside from a re-arch of the leafs or a new spring pack.

You might also consider air bags with an on-board tank and compressor.

Add a leaf is cheaper though.

Don't forget new U bolts and nuts...you may...need new shocks too depending upon the difference in ride height. check that out.

Note..none of this changes the actual payload capacity..just how it handles it.

yes thanks senix. yeah my truck gets pretty bottmed out...almost.....with the trailer only. (6000 lb trailer ) I can imagine with the 4 wheeler in the box.

Thats what i was wondering..if a addaleaf would simply help with the levelling of the truck as well as the handling. Will look into the new shocks also. Thanks

I should help to stiffen it up as well as level it. I had a set of 1" add a leaf from super springs on my 06 and they worked great.
