2007 Ranger P1633 Code
The next morning the light was off. Couple days later it rained again and the engine light came back. Took it back to Auto Zone and checked it again to make sure it was the same code.
Seems like something might be getting wet unless its just a coincidence that it was raining each time the light came on.
Maybe have your favorite autoparts store do a no cost electrical system under load checkup, with their portable electrical system tester. If all checks out ok, disconnect the battery & pull the engine computer firewall electrical connector to see if its seal is letting water get in, or if you have wiring, corrosion, or loose fitting, bent pin/socket problem with the connector. If nothing is visible, try a wiggle/flex test on the computer connector & wiring & maybe a wet down test with a spray bottle of water, to see if you can induce the problem & narrow down the trouble spot that way.
