Isspro warning light programmer wont recognize gauges when plugged in
I have 5 Isspro Evo2 gauges. I installed the warning light programmer. Connected the cable to the gauge (red wire to left), then plugged it into the computer's USB. When this happens the gauges warning light flashes on for a moment and then the gauge buzzes for a second.
I open the Attribute Programmer and it will not recognize any of my gauges. I have tried Pryo and Trans temp. When the program is opened it just says "cannot detect serial cable, please unplug and restart program." Well I've done that about 10 times and makes no difference.
Reviving an old thread, as I'm having the same issue, plus another, possibly related, one. When I start the Attribute Programmer, it asks for the location of ftd2xx.dll. The file exists in the *\Attribute Programmer\data directory. I can give it that location', or download a newer ftd2xx.dll file and point it to that one. Either way, a message scrolls by faster than I can read, and the program opens. I get the same "cannot detect serial cable..." message mentioned above.
Have any of you more recent ISSPRO users seen this, and figured out a solution? Apparently ISSPRO Tech Support is a guy named "Don", and he's away from his desk.
Thanks. I figured it out before Jennifer called me back. The gist is that one has to download the drivers from ISSPRO (R82003-Driver-CDM v2.12.28 WHQL Certified.zip), and extract them into a folder of their own. Then find the new device that gets created in Windows 10 Device Manager the *first time* (at least on my machine) the cable is inserted, and that has no driver associated with it. In my case it was Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller -1.0 (Microsoft)/USB Root Hub (USB 3.0)/USB Serial Converter. Use the "Update Driver" function and point to the extracted files from the downloaded ZIP. Once installed, the app will start working correctly.
