Injector Control Pressure. It gives a reading of your High Oil Pressure that actually "squeezes" the fuel out of your injectors. The High Oil Pressure on a stock engine reaches 2800 - 2900 PSI (barring pressure spikes), and I'm not so certain there's an O-ring in there (having never removed one myself).

Injection Control Pressure.

DieselOrings is a great source for 7.3 parts.

In a pinch, I usually can find what I need at local parts houses such as Grainger, McMaster Carr, State Seal etc. Harbor Freight even has an assortment of viton orings that may do the trick, that set has bailed me out once or twice...

Thanks gentlemen I found an oring at the irish parts store. it stoped the leak but it did not say anything about viton on the pack it is just a regular oil oring.
A little thicker than the original one but fit in the tapper and I got the ICP all the way down to the head. Is there a need for the viton.

Good question. If it is sealing then you are probably ok provided the o-ring material is able to hold up to oil (I think most will). I think the Viton material is a step up from OEM but I am not certain. Bob should be able to answer thst question....hopefully he sees this thread.

Viton is supposed to hold up better to synthetics and biodiesel on the fuel side.
Whenever i find and fix a leaky oring on Motorbug... i try to do viton, or the super schnazy blue flourosilicone that bob sells for fuel bowl drain valve.
