Oil filter

There's a reason the guys on BobIsTheOilGuy refer to Fram filters as the "Orange Can of Death".
Having said that, I'm sure 99% of the time you could run Frams with no problem whatsoever. But the way I see it, why do it if there's even the slightest chance of an issue? As pointed out above, Motorcraft filters are cheap and available everywhere, and they have a very solid reputation. Personally, I buy six of them at a time on eBay. It's not really any cheaper, I mainly do it for the convenience.

Thank you all for the reply and now better informed I must say I was surprised as we had been using the Fram products for years in all our equipment I might add without any problems it was only until we purchased our 09 did we use the Motorcraft filter and that was only because it was dealer installed and dealer discount and the truck warranty. However after reading all the information you all sent we will be trying to use motorcaft filters in all our equipment. Again thank you for the fast reply.
