currently in the process of restoring my interior. All broken parts have been replaced or repaired with junk yard parts or ford gen. parts. since all the pieces came from 1001 different trucks of course they all don't match so I painted everything "desert sand" color with duplicolor's interior vinyl paint. Came out pretty good. Now on to the doors...anyone have any tips on painting them? and what about screws that hold all the trim panels on the A pillar? what do you guys do to match up old rusted screws?
I totally understand as I have the same issue but my interior is blue. If you want a stock look paint them flat black, for a custom look use the same paint to make them tan and they will disappear in the panel. I used some rust remover liquid I purchased from eastwood to soak the screws and remove the rust, they came out looking brand new.
do you know where to get the rear piece of carpet like fabric that goes behind the side and snaps into the rear part of the cab? I am replacing the whole carpet with a new color and wondering where i can get that rear piece of material to match? or what its even called

I just did this to my 95 xl regular cab. I had replaced the bench seat with a 40-20-40 seat and the white panel really looked out of place with the center seat back folded down. I had a scrap piece of black carpet, cut it to fit. Fit the top edge under the rear window rubber, poked holes in the carpet matching the holes in the back wall and pushed the plastic plug/caps I removed from the bench seat I took out into the holes. 30 minute job.
Matches the black rubber floor mat and might even quiet it down a little.
dash looks good i re did mine as well. I didnt clear coat it though i just used the vinyl spray paint from duplicolor. Its not shiny but it looks great. I about to redo the door panels to match.
