I need some interior panels that surround the seatbelt and go up around the headliner. I've looked all around but all others seem to have the same problem (dry rotting). Can the panels work from a 87-96 f150? I was curious since the overall design of the truck stayed similar in those years other than some of the interior and the front clip.
I've thought of doing the same thing as some of those later-model panels have the
necessary configurations to accommodate speakers. But, I understand they're different in
how they deal with the seat belts, you might look into that a bit closer....
How badly rotted are your original pieces? If it is just surface chalking, take some heavy sandpaper (~80 grit) and sand all the bad material off. Get rid of the sanding marks with some finer paper, then paint with plastic/trim compatible paint (I used Krylon Fusion) in your choice of color. It will remove a majority of the "leather" texture though, but you may like the look.

My friend, I wish I could, I can see through it in several places...........LOL..........Its so brittle I cant even make a cast of it, I was going to fiberglass over them and sand and paint, but I dont have enough material left to do that.........LOL.........
I thought about making kind of like a liner, kind of like a head liner for it, then make something to cover the seat belt mechanism. but I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
80-86 are your only option . The 80-6 have the retractor mechanism up in the top. 87-97 have it down at the floor. And you cant just put a 87-97 mechanism in a 80-86 either. Your best bet would be to try to find a 87-97 F600,700,800. They kept the 80-86 interior untill 98 when they went to the super duty style
wow i can't seem to find anyone who sells em new. mine look terrible. those and the passenger side door panel need replaced on mine. not to mention my faded to pink rose wood interment bezel

I actually got some great wood interment panel, and radio bezel off of ebay, I think that I ended up paying around $30 bucks for all of it. check it out in fact I think I saw some other ebay the other day.

That won't work either, cause the 1987-1999 F-600/F-900 uses the 1987-1996 pickup belts.
Then there is the fact that the F-600/F-900 with a headliner is very rare indeed.
