I have some problems in my v10 X , I just changed to mile marker hub , I didn't use my 4wd since 2007 because of crappy ford hubs locks I changed them twice .
so I put the mile marker hub locks and forgot to close the vacuum hoses then my a/c went to defrost , when I close the vacuum lines a/c still in defrost mode after 10 min or so it's start to blow air from the front vents and the defrost and I can smells the street and other cars fumes
I changed the a/c dash switch the one with vacuum hoses and still the same no different and I check the vacuum hoses found no leaks , When I go over 60 mile/h the a/c switch to defrost mode and when I slow down it comes back to front vents
Ohh guys am lost what to do ↑↑ that's the first issue.
The second one is when the 4wd is on I can hear a harsh sound from the front end and my Tires moves like the axle have a limited slip differential . My steering kicks and the tires screams
I also have a vacuum leak like the one you described, same exact symptoms. I'd love to know how to fix it.
This thing is killing me , I searched for vacuum leak for almost 2hr . I took the dash out , glove box , a/c controls and found nothing all the lines and links is ok. Engine vacuum lines is ok also .

I can't help with the first issue .
On the second issue, it sounds like you're driving on pavement with the hubs locked. On a tight turn, that's normal. Might also be caused by frozen axle stub u-joints. Can you duplicate the binding with the front axle on jack stands (safely) and turn the tires by hand?

I fixed it , i disconnect the lines over the air reservoir and re do them and cancelled the hub hoses .
I tighten the lines very good and check all the hoses behind the dash and under the dash.
AC is working again like it should.
but i was wondering when i switch it all the way to max a\c, is it blow air from the Leg vent or not? because all my other Ford cars do that.

i do that when the hubs is locked or free ?.
And the Truck do that only with the transfer case is working .
I haven't changed mine yet, but supposedly the vacuum canister has a one way type valve or something, bumping it may have temporarily fixed it or permanently. I've had the same issue for awhile but since it's been cold haven't cared. Seems like everyone who has this problem it's related to 4wd going out, problem is my 4wd has never had a problem. Hope it stays good for you.
