I'm just getting started on my foil delete. Already got about half of the easy stuff off, but the paper and glue is gonna be a b**** !! What has anybody had good luck with removing it? Oh, almost forgot, I also did the Intake Air Heater removal. I just pulled it out and cut everything off. Bet I gained 25 HP. Lmao

you mean .25 right? I removed the tube from the truck and used acetone and steel wool.
I used metheyl ethyl keyatone. I guarantee I spelled that wrong! It worked great, its some strong stuff. I'm sure others have a less toxic solution. Were you lucky enough to not cut yourself getting the foil off? Good luck.
I just did this the other day first thing I did on my truck lol only had it two days but I took most of it off by hand then I used a wire wheel and took most of the insulation paper off. Wear a mask and glasses then I used brake clean and a brilow pad with brake clean to finish took all of an he but I love it looks great! I don't post much manly read so don't know how to post picks but a wire wheel didn't scar mine up like I thought it might but then again a like the rugged fab look if someone tells me how to post I don't mind other wise txt 2604509982 and ill send them via txt
Yep I pulled what I could off by hand threw the ole wire wheel on the grinder from start to finish in about 30 mins. It should be noted that if you use a carbon wire wheel that you've had laying around and worked with plus live where they salt the roads it will drive carbon into your aluminum tube and rust....... Ask how I know.........
I used a Brass colored wire wheel & it came off nice & I haven;t seen any rust. I would 2nd the idea of wearing a mask, safety glasses & an apron because the front of my clothes downstream from the wheel were nasty!
I really enjoy all that you guys have taught me & en couraged me to try! thanksw a bunch!
Be sure when you reinstall that you rotate it away from that power steering fitting. It will rub a hole and produce a major boost leaks. If there's a hole now, solder works great.

Hey hey!
A more permanent fix than the rubber clamped to it?
In a few spots where I had wire loom rubbing my intake tubes I used the loop side of some 3M adhesived backed velcro. Just cut about a 2 inch piece and stuck it to the tube.
