For me, I would need to see the shape of the oil pan to determine which transmission this is. If in fact it is from a 302 Lincoln Town Car, it would probably be an AOD, 4 speed overdrive if the year is like between 1990 and 1996.

It appears to be an AOD. What year and what car it's from is important as to the quality of the internals. Here's a good article with some excellent links to follow if you want to learn about the capabilities of the AOD and what to look for.
