AOD

I was just wondering what years of AOD transmission can I use in my '87 F-150 supercab with a 302. It has a 10 1/4 in. tailhousing. Thanks for the info.

They made AOD all the way up till 91. Any AOD with the same tail will fit. Note that they made only two basic AODs one with 10 1/4 and one with 11 1/4 tails. The ford pickups and most of the lincons came with the 11 1/4 tail. Most of the other cars came withs the smaller one.
