If you don't boost over 10 or 12 PSI, which you won't with a standard aftermarket turbo, I would not jump right into head studs. Both my trucks have run 10 PSI boost without head studs for thousands of miles. I would start with a turbo, and some other simple mods, and see how your "new" truck feels to you before tearing down the engine. If you want to later, you can have racin help you get to 4 or 500 HP!
