My cruse works fine but when you press in the clutch it wont disengage. It disengages when you hit the brake or press the off button but when you push the clutch it revs up. the clutch safety works you can't start it without pushing the clutch. What could be the cause of this or where should I start looking?
I believe the clutch safety switch has 2 plungers, one is for clutch interlock, which is working, and the other one is for CC, and it is bad? You can take the clutch safety switch apart and see if the springs or other innards are bad or not. How long have you had the truck? Normally when the switch goes bad, the CC won't work at all. I am wondering if it went bad, the CC stopped working, and a PO bypassed it?

it could be possible that maybe it got stuck (this is unlikely) but i would take a look at the sensor first and see if its bad or stuck then check the wiring to everything

What he said. And I haven't ever priced one since I am too lazy to drive a stick but if its cheap enough heck just buy one.
I got the switch off. Both springs are fine and it seems to go back and forth fine. Looks a little oxidized and dirty. I will clean it up and put it back on and see if that works.
